She is also a licensed counselor. Dr. Webb Booker is also a veteran, having had a decorated career in the armed forces where she achieved the rank of Brigade Chief Nurse for the US Army. In her capacity as a nurse she has worked at multiple military bases, as a floor nurse and in hospital leadership, in nursing education, and most recently, as coordinator of the Chicago Public Schools Practical Nursing Program. Discussion includes Dr. Webb Booker’s experience in the armed forces, as a nursing educator, working as a leader in Chicago’s Black nursing community, and her ongoing work in chaplaincy.
